The long-awaited opening of the snow crab season is here again this year!
Of course, Iuchi Suisan has also started to receive the crab.
This year, too, we will be handling “Tsuiyama kani”, a brand of Matsuba kani from Tsuiyama Port.
And of course, “Seko crab”, a female snow crab, has also started to arrive.

Matsuba crab reigns as the king of winter delicacies, but its catch is limited every year for resource conservation.
Nevertheless, thanks to the hard work of everyone involved in the fishing industry in the Sea of Japan, we are able to enjoy Matsuba crab this winter as well.
Therefore, let us be thankful and eat lots of crabs!

*This year’s fishing season is
Male crab: November 6, 2023 – March 20, 2024
Female crabs: November 6, 2023 – end of December, 2024.
